Our nation is a constitutional republic, founded on a Biblical worldview. An underlying premise of this form of government is that the citizenry would be characterized by civic virtue. Civic virtue demands that the citizens accept personal responsibility, commit to moral behavior, practice self-sacrifice when necessary, and would engage in civil affairs in an objective manner, setting aside their personal desires for the benefit of the community.
At Pray Stand Act we believe that the problems we face today all stem from our rejection of the Biblical worldview and the resulting decline in civic virtue. We are committed to advocating a Biblical worldview and to campaigning for the restoration of civic virtue.
As believers in Jesus Christ there are several principles that underly Pray Stand Act. We are not going to discuss them in detail here. Not because valid, logical, intellectual arguments do not exist, but because our focus is application in the civil society. Besides, there are brilliant apologists who have already defended these principles, and have done a better job than we could do. Our focus is not on theory - Pray Stand Act is a "boots on the ground" ministry.
Our logo has three elements, a cross, a Bible, and a scarf with an American flag motif.
The CROSS reminds us to PRAY. The cross represents the incredible grace of a loving God who gave his only begotten Son that we might have eternal life. This cross is made of olive wood from Israel. This reminds us that God is not finished with the Nation of Israel. We look forward to the restoration of the Davidic kingdom with the Messiah, Jesus Christ, as its King.
The BIBLE reminds us to STAND on the Word of God. It is a love letter written to us so that we might know how to have a relationship with Him. The Word is eternal and immutable and we can confidently stand on God's precepts and promises in all circumstances. The Bible is also the basis of the system of law in the United States. Because we stand on the Bible, we can also stand on the Rule of Law.
The FLAG motif of the scarf reminds us to ACT. God has given us a platform, the United States of America. He does not expect us to be passive, but He expects us to respond to Him in obedience and to be active in the society in which He in his sovereign goodness has placed us. God has given us a mission and it requires us to be active in order to influence the people around us.
