Standing firmly on the Word of God

Our Mission

Restoring Civic Virtue

Our nation is a constitutional republic, founded on a Biblical worldview. An underlying premise of this form of government is that the citizenry would be characterized by civic virtue. Civic virtue demands that the citizens accept personal responsibility, commit to moral behavior, practice self-sacrifice when necessary, and would engage in civil affairs in an objective manner, setting aside their personal desires for the benefit of the community.

At Pray Stand Act we believe that the problems we face today all stem from our rejection of the Biblical worldview and the resulting decline in civic virtue. We are committed to advocating a Biblical worldview and to campaigning for the restoration of civic virtue.

We Believe in a Biblical Worldview

  • Creation: We believe that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob exists and that He created the world and all that is in it – and that it was good.
  • Fall: We believe that man’s disobedience allowed evil a foothold in God’s perfect creation, resulting in a world fallen from its original state of goodness and that the fall imparted a sin nature into humanity.
  • Redemption: We believe that God has provided for the redemption of mankind through the obedient sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. We believe that redemption is available to all mankind as a free gift, based solely on faith, and not as a result of works. We believe that Jesus will soon return to redeem the world and to restore its state of goodness.

Our Key Principles

A Practical Approach

As believers in Jesus Christ there are several principles that underly Pray Stand Act. We are not going to discuss them in detail here. Not because valid, logical, intellectual arguments do not exist, but because our focus is application in the civil society. Besides, there are brilliant apologists who have already defended these principles, and have done a better job than we could do. Our focus is not on theory - Pray Stand Act is a "boots on the ground" ministry.

God exists and He is active in the World

  • All that is created presumes a cause.
  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. (John 1:1-3)

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God

  • The Bible is our playbook.
  • All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

God has provided Jesus Christ as our Savior

  • We enter a relationship with God only through accepting the free gift of salvation.
  • This is the First Great Election.

Respond with a heart for the world

  • Responding with a Heart for God is essential to impacting the World.
  • Pray-Stand-Act focuses on Worldview and Approach that will enable us to Act in a way that changes the World.
  • Is Jesus your Savior?
  • If so, are you fully committed to His Kingdom?

God has given each of us a platform

  • Your platform is the part of the World that you touch and influence.

About Our Logo

The Cross, Bible, and Flag

Our logo has three elements, a cross, a Bible, and a scarf with an American flag motif.

The Cross

The CROSS reminds us to PRAY. The cross represents the incredible grace of a loving God who gave his only begotten Son that we might have eternal life. This cross is made of olive wood from Israel. This reminds us that God is not finished with the Nation of Israel. We look forward to the restoration of the Davidic kingdom with the Messiah, Jesus Christ, as its King.

The Bible

The BIBLE reminds us to STAND on the Word of God. It is a love letter written to us so that we might know how to have a relationship with Him. The Word is eternal and immutable and we can confidently stand on God's precepts and promises in all circumstances. The Bible is also the basis of the system of law in the United States. Because we stand on the Bible, we can also stand on the Rule of Law.

The Flag

The FLAG motif of the scarf reminds us to ACT. God has given us a platform, the United States of America. He does not expect us to be passive, but He expects us to respond to Him in obedience and to be active in the society in which He  in his sovereign goodness has placed us. God has given us a mission and it requires us to be active in order to influence the people around us.
